Located in Nasu Kakuriyama City, just an hour by train from Utsunomiya City in Tochigi Prefecture, the brewery has been producing sake since 1849, spanning over 170 years. Utilizing spring water from Mount Nasu and high-quality raw materials, the "cave brewery" provides an ideal environment for creating long-aged sake, and the team continuously challenges themselves to develop new flavors in their Japanese sake.
The name "Azumarikishi" originates from the second-generation owner, Kumakichi Shimazaki, who was an ardent sumo enthusiast.
