~ Dewa no Fuji Junmai 70 AKITA Yukiguni Yeast No. 3 Pasteurized ~
This Junmai sake is brewed with Akita’s original brewery-isolated yeast “Akita Kuratsuki Bunri Kobo No. 3” and 100% Akita-grown Ginsan rice. It has a light, smooth mouthfeel, fresh acidity, and a ginjo aroma reminiscent of ripe banana.
Sato Shuzojo
【Pleasantly Enjoyable Sake – Akita Sake with Rich Flavor and Clean Elegance】
Founded in 1907 (Meiji 40) at the foot of Mount Chokai in Yashima Town, Yurihonjo City, Sato Shuzoten was established by the first-generation Kyukichi Sato. With a team of six brewers, the brewery is located in a region known for its deep snow and pristine natural environment, making it an ideal place for sake brewing.
Its representative label, “Dewa no Fuji,” takes its name from Mount Chokai, a famous mountain rising over this area once known as the Province of Dewa. Because of its beautiful shape, the mountain has long been called the “Fuji of Dewa.” With its mellow flavor and rich aroma, this sake has remained beloved mainly in the local Yashima area.
