Kamikokoro Shuzō – Okayama Prefecture

A limited-edition series symbolizing Kamikokoro’s return to its roots and bold step into a new era
Kamikokoro Shuzō was founded in 1913 by its first-generation brewer, Chōjurō Fujii, in Yorishima Town, Okayama Prefecture. In the postwar era, while the mass production method of “Sanbai Zōjō-hō” (triple brewing method) for sweet sake—known as “Sanzo-shu”—rapidly spread, Kamikokoro steadfastly pursued its belief in crafting umakuchi sake, rich in rice flavor, without compromise.
This unwavering commitment to being a “brewery that sells quality” continues to this day. Guided by the motto:
“We may be a manufacturer when it comes to making sake, but we are consumers in everyday life. That’s why we would never make something we wouldn’t let our own family consume.”
The brewery aims to produce safe, reliable sake that evokes the heartfelt phrase,
“I’m so glad I was born in Japan,”
awakening the “Japanese DNA” with every sip of their umakuchi sake.
