Brewed with “Miyama Nishiki” rice polished to 60%, grown locally in Wakayama Prefecture.
The water comes from underground streams of the Kumano River, which flows from the sacred mountains of Oku-Kumano — a UNESCO World Heritage site.
This sake offers a rich rice flavor and a clean, crisp finish.

Tasting Notes (by the shop owner):
A soft entry on the palate, with well-balanced umami and a clear, refreshing finish — an excellent sake to pair with meals.
When gently warmed to around 50°C, the sweetness and acidity harmonize beautifully, enhancing the depth of flavor.

The Southernmost Brewery of Honshu
Located in the heart of the Kumano Sanzan, a World Heritage site, Ozaki Shuzo is the only sake brewery between Aridagawa (Wakayama) and Ise-Matsusaka (Mie).
Blessed with the pristine underground water of the Kumano River and cold northern winter winds, the brewery continues to preserve its traditional methods.
The brand name “Taiheiyo” (Pacific Ocean) symbolizes vastness, purity, and spirit — a wish for its sake to be as broad, clear, and uplifting as the great ocean itself.
